Not planting a garden this year, since we have plans to be out of town too much to take care of it...but my blackberries are going nuts. I'm excited.

Looks to me like you have good cause to be excited.
My wife makes fun of me because I go out and check on these every day.
Glad to see someone can grow those. I've struck out on 2 different occasions with 2 different plants. Finally give up on the tame variety and started being good to the wild ones scattered on my place. :party:

What variety are you grown? I got the Natchez and Quachita thornless

Natchez Thornless. Some of them are almost an inch long already.

-Last Spring I think I had less than a dozen berries. I wouldn't say its too late to plant them to get them established for next Spring, but I wouldn't expect them to produce this year.

Blackberry's with a touch of sugar in a bowl of Carnation condensed milk, boy does that ever bring back memories.
Picked 3 more pounds today for a total of 10 pounds. I'm hoping to get around 25 pounds to make a batch of heavy bodied wine.
The vine on the left stopped producing. I'm not sure if it is sick(it looks pretty puny) or just a different variety that produces earlier and is done for the year. It did produce about a week earlier than the one on the Right(pictured above).
