Black powder season is IMO the best two weeks on the hunting calendar. Although cleaning and maintaining a muzzleloader can be a pain sometimes, its a magical time to be in the woods.

What do y'all think?

I LOVE Muzzle loader season ,even before I went smokeless I have always tried to take off the first week & had to take 2nd week this year

by FAR the best week of hunting on my farms. So frustrating my kids are not old enough to take advantage of it and miss out on what would be thier best chance at a good buck.

It is the best here in J county. Catch bucks in the cruising phase before peak rut hits. For mature bucks it is hard to beat.

I see and shoot the most of my bucks during muzzy. I'd choose muzzy over gun season any day.

I'll trade you guys 2 weeks of muzzleloader for the week after Thanksgiving.

Do you like it so well because you really like muzzleloading or is it because that's when your rutting action kicks in and...if it's because you like muzzleloading do you carry it in instead of a rifle once rifle opens? Just curious

It's not in lincoln county. Give me thanksgiving week anytime over mzl

x2. not many 3.5 and 4.5's wanting to move around with the lights on till about Thanksgiving here. plus, I will take a centerfire anyday over a stink pole

Love ml season and really love not cleaning this smokeless one. Don't get me wrong I love gun season also. The only difference to me now is I can rack a shell quicker than reloading. There isn't a shot I would take with my 300 win mag that I won't take with my rem/pac.
