Black Hills of SD

Anybody hunted the Black Hills recently? Me and the boys leaving in a few days to hunt both SD and WY in the Black hills and just wanted to see if anyone here has been recently?

I was out there 2 years ago turkey hunting, then again a year and a half ago scouting for turkeys and sightseeing.

How was it Meg? Ive been to several Western states Turkey hunting but this will be my first trip to the Black Hills.

Birds are really spotty with vast areas that should be perfect completely devoid of birds.

You can get lucky and stumble into them scouting from roads, but better to hit local sporting good stores or gas stations and ask folks where the birds are for some local Intel.

For whatever reason, folks out there aren't secretive when it comes to turkeys... they will flat out blabber where they have been seeing them or have killed one.
