Black Coyote

I've only seen one of these in my life. This one looks pretty big.

I was going to ask that the other day. How many have pictures of chocolate/black coyotes? I've only gotten a couple on cam over the years.

I got a picture of one once, saw one once.

That's a BIG one. White throat patch too. Good looking yote. I killed one a few years ago that came running in to my rattling horns. Almost didn't shoot because I thought it was somebody's dog.

The last couple of years, I've had one on my feeder camera. I've not been able to call it in though. At one time Cabelas paid top dollar for a good black coyote hide.

Never had one on camera. Saw one in person one time. Crossing a hay field 200 yards away in company with two normally colored coyotes.

I gave it to my brother. He's a taxidermist and loves oddball stuff like that.

You have seen one more than me. I have seen and killed a lot of them and never seen a black one, never even had pics of a black one.

12 gauge with whinchester long beards 6 shot at 13 steps.

Caught 1 and have shot 2 seems to be common if there's one dark there's bound to be a couple more. Stones river park in Murfreesboro use to have several in it.

Got this cool pic early this year. I've since gotten several pics of this one, he looks like a Belgian melinois. I think I have pics of his pup which is solid black.
