At about hour before day break, I saw a Black Bear in Yanahli area. It ran by my car and then away. Not a club, but more mid size.

I wonder if there are still hogs there or if they trapped them. Used to hear about hogs around cheeks bend and used to see sign a couple years ago

I seen sign 2 yrs ago but haven't been back to that area
 
Not smoking anything, lol, and it wasn't a hog. I saw it 3 feet from my car. It was seen about 1/2 mile south of boat ramp on Fred White Rd. I've seen small caves while deer hunting just north of boat ramp. Just a fyi to report the sighting for safety reasons.
 
Hmmm, about 5 years ago I was at the trash dump off hwy 99. The gentleman that was working there had swore he saw a black bear in the area. I kinda laughed it off. Maybe some truth to it??

I've hunted that area would be interesting to see a bear. A lot of yanahli has small caves and sinkholes. The bear would be a roaming male wouldn't it?

I think anything is possible. Remember a few years ago that bear that traveled through North Alamaba, North Mississippi and was caught outside Memphis.
 
It's absolutely possible to have a bear wander around middle Tennessee. In fact, it is becoming more and more frequent. The only thing that is strange about the sighting right now is the timing. Males usually go for long walks in the springtime when they emerge from the den looking for food or during the summer when they're looking for love.
