I hunted public ground Saturday morning and only heard one gobble one time on neighboring private ground and headed to baseball at 8am. Tried my private spots and had 2 great active mornings. Both 2 year olds that gobbled good which I haven't killed a 2 yo off these farms in a while. The bird yesterday morning had one bird gobbling but 3 gobblers stepped out! This is the best crop of birds this farm has had in 6-7 years.. Both of them have good flocks of jakes too saw 8 leaving. The future looks bright especially since I can't torment them anymore.. I've been burned on that last tag several times so the idea of passing on gobblers is a foreign concept I don't see myself practicing. Hope my sons might want to go but not rear sure what to do with myself now? I hope TWRA raises the limit back again because this just isn't right..
