Hey guys,
I just bought a TC Venture in 22-250 caliber and Im wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good bipod to mount on the gun. Thanks.

Harris is the best.
They are pricey though.

Don't think I am going to add one to the rifle I just bought.
Getting old and light is good. :D

Also, decide if you are comfortable shooting from a sitting position on the ground and are you going to use some type of seat?

I LOVE deer and coyote hunting out of my turkey hunting chair.
It is very low to the ground, but the added height made my last bi-pod useless.

bipods are great for western rigs but can get you burnt in the east when they come hard and are on you too fast. i took the bipod of my primary rig 3 hunts in. cost me too dogs. i like a growl quick stick shooting rest

Another vote for shooting sticks. Ive got the tall Harris fields and they are more than useless unless I'm facing downhill. Sticks will give you more adjustment for any setup.

i bought 2 off predator masters. best stick i have used for predator hunting and i have used a bunch. i will see if i can find out who makes them. it says growl and has a yotey head on the shaft

The Atlas or Sinclair bipods are the best IMHO, Harris is very good, had a few Caldwell and Blackhawk are both fine as well. Shooting sticks are OK but I dont like them if I am making a longer shot. I also use a shooting mat, even when out shooting prairie dogs or yotes where I have to move a bit. Its easy enough to roll it it and sling it on my back, and just as easy to throw down when I need to.
Something else that really helps are knee pads. In taller grass or brush where you have to be up off the ground instead of prone your knees will take a beating, and even just a set of foam knee pads will make a huge difference in your shooting comfort, and the more comfortable you are the better shots you make.
