Binoculars

I'm looking to upgrade my binoculars and looking for any experience/reviews. Leaning towards the Swarovski EL's or Leica Ultravid HD but interested how well the slightly less expensive Swarovski SLC or Leica Trinovid HD stack up in terms of resolution, FOV and optical brightness on overcast days.

Well, ordered the Swarovski SLC 10x42 for myself and the Leica Trinovid HD for my father, so I'll get to do a little comparison between them.
