only ones ive ever caught was fishing for shell cracker in late spring on ky lake.they were barley big enough to eat.

Those are "hawgs". All that I've caught crappie fishin lately have been full of eggs so I stopped keeping em. I'll sure pick back up keeping em later on in the spring.
