My first "big" buck was a 13" spike aged at 3.5 yrs by state biologists in south Alabama in the early 90's. He was chasing does until he came by me. Full grown does only weighed in at 80 - 90 lbs live weight. I think he weighed in at 130 on the hoof.
 
Those are some monster spikes. Biggest I ever killed was 7 or 8", but was still in velvet. He was the second deer I killed with a recurve.
