Gonna finally get on to my new lease in Overton Co. Got more pigs than I care for. Saw pic of big pig another killed on another thread. Anyone have a concern walking in or from you blind in the dark. Thinking those things will spook but know they can be aggressive. Thoughts/advice?

and you have to be listed on a permit to kill 1,also the permit sez what the rules are nite bait center fire rifles during bow ect ... good luck
 
Question....Is there a difference between the way a feral hog and a Russian boar might act? When the Russians were all over Anderson Tully I always made sure I set up under a limb I could get to quick. A couple of times hunting thickets they came in close but no attacks. I always heard they might.

I wouldn't bet on them running every time. I had one come out of a thicket, and charge me when I had just climbed down from my tree stand. I read about two hunters riding in a side by side, and a hog charged them, rammed the vehicle, and turned it over, breaking the mans back. There's plenty of people that have been attacked by wounded hogs. I always carry a side arm.

Yea, we have the permits. But I won't hesitate to kill an animal if I feel threatened without one. I'll pay the fine if the officers not reasonable about it. I don't break rules or laws. Just not happy with the hogs on the lease. Thanks.
