Between work and Army Reserve duties, I only have a couple of days I will be able to hunt this Spring turkey season, so beggars can't be choosers.
Last Nights storm drove all the birds off my property about half a mile onto the neighbors. 3 hours waiting for them to show up, nothing.
Moved and decided to call into a roaring wind, thinking I may be able to lure them back. Set up and hit the box call only twice and 7 jakes came charging in at a dead run! Wasn't able to get a good sight on one until they were at 20yds and closing.
Tipped the scales at 25.4lbs. I cant imagine what his friends will will be like next year.
