Big Game Tree Stand

Bought a Boss CR1000 Big Game hang on yesterday. When we hung it we could not get the strap tight. Going to go back and use a ratchet strap. Has any one else had this problem with these stands?

factory straps pretty much suck
get a couple new ones from wally world
i bought a new big dog stand a few weeks ago the straps didn't seem to get tight nuff on it either
put 2 new ones on it now its good to go

i wouls suggest a trip to ace hardware for a short piece of chain and a turnbuckle for safety. i fell out of a stand about 30 years ago. due to dry rot straps.

Yes, i do not trust straps, chains are the only way to go!
