Well after letting this guy walk 3 times this year I decided to take him. Only reason I didn't earlier is because of the thought of shooting deer that would score better. Anyway, he came in walking parallel to two other bucks and they all were about 75 yards apart grunting and scent checking every 20-50 yards. It was a sight to see. It reminded me of 3 guys doing a deer drive. I'm guessing their was a hot doe in the area and they couldn't find her. He was the furthest away at about 200 yards and somehow he got past me unscathed. I think I was in awe watching. Ten minutes later I thought dang, I should've hit my bleat, so I gave it whirl, 2 minutes later here he came on a trot. I stopped him at 120 yards and let my 264 work. He mule kicked and took off. I gave it 30 minutes and got down, he made it about 40 yards and piled up. I'm tickled the Lord blessed me with this buck. He had a 20 and 21 inch beam, 5 inch bases above the bur and was 15 inches inside. He's my best 6 pt to date with a total of 97 inches of bone on his head. I try to only shoot bucks 4.5 and older and he's the only one I've had that old on cam this year. Hopefully another will take his place and I can fill my last tag.
