sorry I was too lazy to take a pic, even though I had my camera. 9.5 inches and I also took home another smaller one maybe around 7 inches long.

anyway I have them filleted so I will cook them up within the next day or so. Haven't tried gills in a long time, so it's time to give them a try again.

I thought 9.5 is pretty big for a gill... fishing here in Pennsylvania is pretty good, seen some huge carp too, but they don't bite in the afternoon so tomorrow morning I'll have to give it another shot.

However I can't wait to be back in TN, one does get sort of homesick especially spending almost 3 weeks in the northeast.

Must cost you a ton buying all those non-res. licenses.

34.70 for the 7 day tourist license, and 9.70 for the trout stamp. No kidding it's expensive, that's why I'm trying to fish as much as I can and bring some home to eat.

In new jersey I did not need a license to fish the saltwater.

Where abouts in Pa. are you?? I have a feeling the Southern part..i know a couple spots in the Northern Part(Bradford..Tioga County) where you can catch 15 to 17 inch Perch all day long..Every now and again a 20 incher turns up also..

Sounds like fun.

Not a bash by any means, but I think an "award winning writer" could say something better than question how much money you spend on licenses.

sounds like fun. Haven't caught any perch yet here. Eastern or southeastern part here, Lehigh county to be exact.

Or maybe Bowriter's comments are too subtle for many on here.

Great post HH. Again, just makes me glad I have you on my ignore list. Guess it never occured to you, I asked, because I wanted to know.

I do not care or want to care about how he pays for licenses (or gear either for that matter), I would say his peronsal life is none of anybody's business unless he asks for money to pay for what he is doing. He is getting to fish many places from what he has posted recently and I am all for that.

I'm cool. I'm always cool. Just read my posts and you can see I am cool. Heck, I am even cool when fishing with Simms and Gil. Haven't said one uncool thing. Besides, I think a thread be locked after 10 posts, anyway.

hey 40naside, how about that for subtle? You are sharper than the average fisherman.
