Talked to my brother n law awhile ago and he said a guy he goes to church with caught a 9lb 12ounce large mouth last week on Chickamauga. That's a big one no matter where you catch it. rsimms said it may be a banner year this year and it looks like it may be so. I can't wait to get down there myself.

The Chick keeps getting better & better. I sure feel blessed to be so close to such a productive lake. Looking forward to getting one of them big fish but I'm having a blast catching them littluns too. Good Luck & God Bless!!! :)

All of the Tn River lakes have been producing heavyweights the past few years. Pickwick supposedly produced a 13 lber in a tourney a few weeks ago and several 8-10 lb fish have been landed on recreational trips. That;s awesome and I'm glad to see the lakes doing so well.

I truly believe Guntersville is on it's way down due to the killing of the grass, the incredible amount of fishing pressure, and the lack of care by fisherman and tournament directors to take care of tournament caught bass, but I also think Chickamauga is on it's way up and it hotter than a firecracker right now! I just hope they'll let the grass come back and it will be out of this world.

There is grass there if you know where to look. I would bet they won't let it get like it was a few years ago, but if they do it will be awesome!
