BH209 , Omega, and Barnes 250s

Went to range and shot my Omega today with 110 grains of Blackhorn 209. I think I will stay with this powder. No crud ring and no hesitation whatsoever on firing. I am using a magnum shotgun primer to ignite. I shot 4 times and did not clean the barrel until I got home. There was not that much to clean and several patches with standard solvent rapidly took care of it.
I also noticed that even for the 4th load the bullet was easy to seat. This entire setup is by far the very best mldr I have ever had in terms of ease of use, cleaning, etc.

use an 1/8th inch drill bit and with your fingers, twist it into the primer pocket section called the flash channel, it will cut a lot of carbon out of it.

Yes to T-EZ. I also bought a spare breech plug and will make sure they are both very clean. My tool and die machinist friend made me a little cleaning tool. If in doubt during November rut I will simply swap out breech plugs for a clean one. Really looking forward to hunting season.

Seems like mine was -8" at 200 with that same combo maybe a hair more. I have the Nikon Omega BDC on mine too

Zero at 100yd mine drops like 9" at 200yds however I use Leupold Ultimate Slam....great scope well worth the $$$ to me.

How do you like that entire set-up? I am looking into the exact ML/powder/scope....

I like it. I have 2 of the Omega's and other than the tight barrels there great. The Omega scope is a nice piece too. Blackhorn powder is the best thing sense sliced bread and you can't go wrong with Barnes bullets
