The stuff shot great when i first used it . Take it out on a hunt, see about a 140 buck ,shoot Hangfire, deer stands there looking at me, reload shoot again ,another hangfire  Take gun home and shoot ,hangfires the next six shots ,sprays bullets everywhere, Two weeks earlier i was shooting a 3inch group at 200 yds. Changed back to 777 and no more hangfires, The only thing I can think that could have happend is the bullets seem to get easier to load the more i shot so what i have read about the stuff is it has to be a tight fit for the bullet and sabot ,so Im thinking that was the culprit. Thats just too finiky for me I think Im going to give up on it and stay with the 777.

put 12 rounds thru my ML w/o cleaning and w/o a hangfire. Shoulder was killing me so didnt shoot any more.

DO NOT USE THE REMINGTON ML 209 PRIMERS...go with a regular shotgun 209 primer. I used winchester primers.

Seriously, what primers were you using and did you keep the flashhole clear in the breech bolt? I tried BH209 last year for the first time with Winchester primers (blue box) and had several hangfires. I ordered some Federal 209A primers from Cabelas and cannot get the thing to hangfire. Call the number on the container and they can help. DO NOT GIVE UP ON BH209!

I've been using pyrodex pellets and have had 2 hang fires this year with 777 209 primers...never had this problem before......no more 777 primers for me!

I had hangfires with Win 209 primers and BH209 in my Knight Disc Elite. Cost me a good deer in illinois last year. Switched to CCImag primers and no more hangfires in the Knight. I did buy the T/C Bone Collector and it goes boom every time with CCI mag also. The Knight disc allows some fire not to be directed directly into the powder charge. I talked to the BH209 tech guys and they suggested to use CCi mag or Federal 209A in any Knight rifle.
