So, when that says both and of note, I assume they bet huge amounts on the Vols?

Not necessarily huge amounts but then again, that might be true and accurate. They could be betting tn as outright winner or could just be betting Vols to cover spread. It's hard to say and not always cut and dry
 
But when he specifically mentions a few professional bets on this game of note, both on Tennessee,

does that not imply that there were two professional bets of big amounts? Why else would he mention them?

Yes, but that doesn't necessarily mean they bet on Tennessee to win. Over the last 48 hours the line moved from Bama-7 to Bama -9. So Tennessee betters may be more comfortable betting Tennessee to cover.

Certainly could mean that (big amounts) and probably safe to assume
 
I haven't looked at this game because I don't bet on Tennessee games, period. Betting on a game you are emotionally connected to is not a good idea. But IF the information you have is true, and all the sharp money is coming in on one side AND the line is moving the wrong way, that's a situation I LOVE. That means the odds makers are so sure of the outcome that they are begging people to bet the other side regardless of what the money is doing. Also in a case like this, the odds makers and sharps are in unison. When I bet on a game I don't look at offense, defense, or injuries. I look at what the sharps, public, and odds makers are doing. Half the time I don't even know the teams. I had FIU+33.5 last night. I assure you I know NOTHING about FIU.
