Finally got to get out and hunt myself this afternoon. Really never made it to where I was going to hang my stand. Saw this guy next to the barn on the way in eating persimmons. Longest shot I've ever tried. I'd like to range it sometime, but I'm guessing 250 yds give or take. Ruger American.270 with Norma ammo. I'm tickled with him. I'll include a pic of where I was when I shot. He was just left of the barn at the wood line. And yeah, the sun was blinding me in the hero spots. 😂😁

Nice shot. I always thought persimmon mast was early. I found one that was already rotten a few weeks into bow season.
Me too...I always thought of persimmon as an early season mast...until this year when I found three different trees loaded in December....then I learned there are American persimmon that drop early then there are those that drop late...but I never knew that until this year.
