What do you guys think the best turkey choke made for Rem. 870 super mag, what has best pattern?

Depends on the load that you are shooting. Rhino or Jellyhead are awfully good with Hevi-shot. (Especially Nitro's)

If you are shooting lead shot, I would start with a Kick's or a Comp n Choke to see which one patterns best with your gun.

GOOD LUCK!

I have two that im shooting. I have the factory choke in my super mag... poor patterns with cheap shells, nice patterns out to 50-55 with Hevi.

I have a kix choke in my mossberg. unreal patterns with cheap shot, prolly good out to 60 atleast. not too impressive with hevi tho.

FYI,
i am not a fan of shooting birds at any of these ranges, however I do still pattern my gun that far so I know my absolute limits.

One other thing pse2....DO NOT...I repeat....DO NOT, buy Nitro Bob's shells until you have tried other shells. Once you shoot the Nitro's nothing else will quite do. (even at $5 a whack!) TRUST ME!

This is what my 870 SM with 26" barrel & winchester supreme #5's @ 40 yards using a Kick's .660 tube

Heres mine at 40 with a rhino .660 and nitro 4 x 5 x 7

I bought a Rhino 660 from BSL, haven't had a chance to try it yet though..... maybe this spring. Going to try the Hevi-13 before I spend on the Nitro's.

pse2,
I shoot a 870 too, but a choke recommendation doesnt mean much without knowing what shell you are planning on using. The tru-glo strut stopper xtream choke will give you 50 yd gun with hevi 13 3" 2oz #6 or win xtended range 3" #6. IMO a quality ammo is more important than the choke when it comes to getting good patterns.

Thanks for the info, I have had the same question for the same gun. I am giving up the old 3" 870, she has been good but time for more power.

I like a terror 655 in my Benelli SBE2 with a 3' federal 2 oz. #4 for the money though jellyheads are hard to beat.

I shoot a 1187 super mag with a super mad max choke and winchester extended range 3.5 #5.At 40 yards im putting 75 to 80 shot in the head and neck.I havent shot any nitros yet but they do sound pretty wicked.

Yes that is in the head and neck! My 1187 dont like 6 shot but i have a buddy that shoots a gold with the same set up except he shoots #6 and he is putting 5to10 more shot in the kill zone at 40yards than i am! The only downfall is at 20yards and less its like shooting a rifle!
