When is the best time of the year to do a little arrow head hunting? Like in creeks and such?
When did any of yall find the most artifacts?

Immediately following deer season is my favorite time.
You don't have to worry about messing up anyone's hunt and there are no snakes to contend with.
As long as it isn't TOO cold where the ice will mess you up.
All the leaves have usually been washed out of the way and the water level has usually been good and high a couple times through the winter to uncover lots of goodies.
Back when I looked alot, the time frame between deer and turkey season is when I would rack up.

Everything Ruger said and especially after a good rain.
A good rain will uncover a lot of stuff that might be just under the surface.

CC, I am looking at every opportunity but if you are asking for my personal "Arrowhead Season"......I am a post-deer season through May'ish time frame hunter. As a general rule I do not hunt high fence operations, I do not bait and I do not practice catch and release!!
