They make'em. It's just that they are heavy and take up more room. They may not also last as long, but they do make'em.

If you're anywhere near one, I'd recommend visiting an REI store. I've always had good luck there, plus being a member, you get a little dividend check every year.

Eureka Spitfire--not much room in them, but they are light. The 2 man tent might be a good compromise between weight and space.

Eureka Apex 2XT--I have an older version similar to this. I love it.

eureka is a good tent.

I bought my brother's Eureka tent (older model Apex 2XT) for $30 when he had a yard sale. I asked what was wrong with it, and he said there wasn't...he just wanted another one. He is kind of a gear geek.

It has been in some bad storms and held up just fine. It's about 5#, which might be a little heavy for some backpackers. But it suits me just fine.

If I ever wear this one out, I will get another Eurkea.
