This has probably been posted already but my search hasn't really showed much. What do ya'll think is a good budget red dot?

I am having to send back my sightmark right now. I bought it because it looked just like all of the rest of the sights on the market, and thought that it was the same thing. It will not hold vertical zero, so I cannot recommend it. I have heard good things about Primary Arms and Mueller sights, and I will probably go to one of those in the future.

Totally agree with your Sightmark comments. They will not stand up to anything that has any smack to it. Those cheap stamped steel base rings are a joke. They are OK for a 22 rifle for maybe squirrel hunting but thats about it. IMO the best red dots are manufactured by AimPoint, battery life is past belief! I have two on big bore handguns.
Having said that, you will be hard pressed to fine one under $150.00 unless someone is upgrading. If you have an AR put a good scope on it if youre planning to keep/use it.

I have an ATN reflex sight that's a C More knockoff and I really like it. It's withstood several thousand rounds of full auto 45ACP fire and never lost any adjustment. Seems like it was about $100 when I bought it.
