Best opening morning I’ve ever had…

….and I didn't even fire a shot. Watched probably 40-50 birds fly off their ridge line roost and land in about a 1/4 mile long creek bottom and start doing their thing. Fighting, strutting, gobbling.
We had 4 big gobblers coming close to being within range and they all broke "formation" and ran off a group of Jakes back toward the picked cornfield. It was quite the show. Probably one of my most memorable in a long time. And I never even had my finger on the trigger.

Proof right there that it isn't about the kill but seeing and experiencing things like that in God's great outdoors that many will never witness.
