Fellas,

I want to try poppers for the first time this weekend. Who can help me with an excellent recipe?

Thanks!!

I searched for Big J's and couldn't find it--maybe he will post it again. It is absolutely the best because their is a great balance of sweetness and heat...pure awesomeness I tell ya

I have marinated in dales. I've used a sweet and spicy sweet baby rays bbq sauce also. I cut up jelepinos and take out the seeds and membranes. Put a piece of backstrap a piece of jelepino and then I wrap it in either a maple cured or a hickory cured bacon, put them on skewers and grill over charcoal. DELICIOUS!!!

I went and found what I belive was Big J's recipe

cut backstrap into thin strips (about 1/4 inch and about 1 inch long)
marinate in sprite/orange juice overnight
cook bacon and set aside
then cook backstrap pieces (it will only take just a minute or two to cook due to how thin they are)

place bacon over backstrap
put a slice of jalepeno on top of bacon
and then cover with pepperjack cheese and heat in oven until cheese melts

I promise this is the absolute best, it is hot but not overpowering hot and is very sweet due to the sprite/orange juice marinade. Enjoy!!!! :)
