My son is 8 and doesn't like shooting guns right now and said he'd like to go hunting but with a crossbow. At this point if it gets him into hunting I'm open to it. So what's y'all opinions on best xbow for kids

I think any of them would be fine. My son (11) has been shooting mine for a couple of years and took his first deer with it last year. You would have to chocolate chip cookie it of course. We use it set up on a caldwell field pod and it's perfect.

The center points have an AR style adjustable stock.
Very affordable and he will never outgrow it

A co-worker got one of those centerpoint Xbows cbh and he is really liking it.
cant be beat for the price point. A lot of bells and whistles that you can't get on price comparable models. I'm the type to read lots of reviews and they are great overall.

I know there are lots out there and some better than what I have but I have a Barnett Raptor FX and it's small and compact with adjustable stock.

Barnett Recruit for weight and shorter stock.

CenterPoint Snyper 370 for overall value even though it is a little on the heavy side. Quick, accurate, adjustable stock, inexpensive

Both are low cost and have been great crossbows for my kids.

Has my vote

I use a carbon express x force blade. Fairly light. Narrow. And adjustable. $225. I did upgrade the scope tho.

My 8 year old son killed a nice 2 year old 10 point using my TenPoint Stealth Crossbow two weeks ago. The bow is a little heavy for him, but he shoots it fine. However, I suggest getting him a crossbow with a lower price point than Ten Point. My buddy picked up a Wicked Ridge for under $200 (on Clearance @ WMT in WV).

My son prefers my wife's Barnett Lady Raptor FX... except for the pink camouflage... ;o) The Barnett is lighter and will absolutely work for deer hunting.

Good luck and happy hunting.

My son was the same way. I got him the Excalibur cub and he loves it. It's made on the matrix frame. Wore several strings out over the past 3 years shooting it.
