why would it upset someone, it will never be legal in TN. This was done on a private ranch.

I know people who are already preordering with the intention of hunting here with them. They are convinced there is a loophole in the law (which there isn't) I told them it's illegal and they said to heck with it they're going to play the ignorance card if there caught...

I saw these and shot these at the ATA show. Haters are going to hate. Alot of the LOUD reports are overly hyped. They are not any louder than a normal Air rifle such as my RWS Diana.
The chocolate chip cookie much easier than a crossbow and you don't need to go and buy a $100 cocking mechanism to chocolate chip cookie it.
Shoots and loads like a dream. Reports are that it shoots a 375 grain arrow full length arrow at 450 FPS. I don't know what the KE is but it should do everything you should ever want to do with it .
0-50 flat trajectory should deliver humane kills. Reports are its just as accurate at 50 yards as it is at 15.
Downside is you have to purchase a tank for $350. I think they should work a package deal on the front end myself since it Air Bow requires it but that's not my call to make. The Tank loads 80 shots and can be filled almost anywhere. Should last for a full season of practice and hunting for the most part.
The Airbow tank itself holds 8 consistent shots before pressure starts dropping off. Plenty enough for a extended hunt before you need to get back to a resupply. Most people don't take out more than 6 arrows with them on any Trek so I don't see that as any downside. Where you have a resupply of arrows you have a resupply of Air.
For all the haters out there that do not like this or think its the gloom and doom of bow hunting. Think back to all those arguments on inline muzzleloading and how it was going to end muzzleloading. It did not. We still have muzzleloading seasons all across the US and there is room for everyone in the sport. If this introduces someone new into the sport of hunting im all for it. FWIW I would not mind having one myself to play with and possibly hunt coyotes and Turkey with. Perhaps even SUPPLEMENT deer season with it. Of course state regulations would have to change before I could do any of that.

Nope! ILLEGAL in TN. Even says so on the Benjamin site. I do not know why anyone would even consider risking such a huge fine or losing a season of hunting privileges over something so stupid.tree_ghost":24fdh9fg said:

and RI have pending approval of it. NY has had some of the strictest gun laws and hunting regs on the books. So if they passed it I suspect we will see more states following in short order.
Till then its OFF my purchase charts till I see it legal in TN or in a state I remotely would consider hunting in.

I'm sure if TN does decide to allow them it will cause a storm of crying and whining. To which my response will be the same as it is when I hear people whining about Xbows being to easy.... "if Xbows are too easy, lets cancel all firearms seasons right now." No easier way to kill a deer than with a firearm.

The price point with a tank puts it at a top of the line compound bow , top of the line crossbow or factory bolt gun with good glass. Probably around $1200 when its all said and done .

It would be a real treat to me.
