below center hill dam

i am going camping and fishing below center hill dam, i was wonderin' what is the best trout bait. and is there any catfish below the dam?? just curious. thanks

id try worm & corn,spinners plugs ect,there's trout,rockfish & old codgers & some not old codgers that like to fling flys ,i read of big trout there & big bait needed for them,be carefull & have a great time,mike243

For beginners I would go with mepps 00 agilia. If you have a bit more patience. Tie on a #8 eagle claw baitholder hook and attach 2 split shot about 14 to 16" above the hook. Attach pink/rubber floating powerbait to the hook. Throw this rig out upstream and let it bounce along the bottom in the current downstream.

When you feel several sharp taps/bites set the hook as hard as you can a reel like crazy.
