I planted 3 bell pepper plants in the spring. I planted one green bell pepper, one red bell pepper, and one orange bell pepper. I planted them in the ground instead of a garden box. The plants are producing peppers, but the are a little on the small side. They are not the size of the bell peppers you buy at the grocery store.

The green plant seems to do ok, and I've gotten some peppers from it, although somewhat small and thin. I haven't gotten many red ones, and when I do, the peppers aren't very firm (again, like the supermarket peppers). The orange peppers aren't very firm, either.

Any suggestions or ideas? They get plenty of sun and I water just about every day. I have not tried any fertilizer or pesticide, my wife wanted to try to do this organically.

I would put a couple tablespoons of bone meal around each plant. Also, if you want organic you could put some fish emulsion fertilizer around each one.
