I have a rifle here owned by a member that I have dead in my sights to pillar bed tomorrow. I also have 2 of mine to do. The 223 in the laminate, and the 300 Saum in the CDL laminate. That 300 has my interest. I just plain ole like that rifle.

What do you prefer to use as your bedding compound? Which pillars do you use?

Once we finally get the new baby to sleep better at night, I'm gonna bed 2 rifles as well, but I'll only need to skim them as they already have the aluminum bedding blocks.

Out of 3 products I`ve used, I really like Devcon Putty. It mixes up to a really good consistency and I use a popcicle stick to place it around inside the action area. It costs much more than other types, but I feel worth it.
I get my pillars from Brownells. I order the combo set that comes closer to the right length for both front and rear. I try to stock up once and a while when I`m ahead money wise. I may have 5 or 6 sets here now, I saw 3 unopened 1 pound containers of Devcon in my closet. I hate to run out of something when it takes several days to replace.
I also found 1500 primers I forgot about. I drove 80 miles one way to buy more Federal 205M`s, and had a brick here.
