anybody ever done the up the butt beer can recipe on a turkey? bought a big beer and giving it a try

Well yeah sorta. This is a bone in turkey breast done in a gas smoker. Turned out killer too.

I dont use a can but its the same idea. I like all stainless and these are pretty cheap. Paint and plastic coatings are not something im comfortable with when combined with heat/cooking.

Do it all the time with chicken. The left overs also make a killer chicken salad.

turned out ok, should have taken the time and used the smoker. skin was much better than a smoked bird. live and learn

There is a vertical roaster that has something like this and a ss can. That way you can use either cooking method.
