...but not found any yet. All I have are a few fragments from this spring.
Most often I've been scanning the gravel/rock areas along the creek. A fishing buddy of mine has a ridiculous amount of artifacts he's collected over the years... a bunch of arrowheads, tons of fossils, cool rocks, etc. Makes me want to at least get a few arrow heads. I know the community garden I am involved in is loaded with them, but I only really search there after they till the ground in the spring.
I'm tempted to search gravel bars in creeks, where the gravel is roughly the same size as arrowheads and contains flint. I figure that if most rocks of that size collect in one area, wouldn't there be more arrowheads there? As opposed to a sand bar which only has the occasional rock?
Anyway I'm going to be looking more. Got a few creeks around here and maybe a couple other spots to check out. We'll see what I come up with.
