I hope to get to try em with the longbow again before end of deer season. My official 2012 bow season ended for me today. I'm not going to get to go anymore until muzzle loader opens. There will be more orange in the woods around here than a UT football homecoming game.
The deer will still be around but 10 times tougher to get close to. It's been fun trying. Maybe I'll take it out again...who knows?

good luck. ML season won't be half as bad as rifle.... keep at it. Even when gun season opens, it's still good in the right spots. Last year, I shot and killed a buck at 8 yards on opening morning of gun season. And shot at another buck at 15 yards on black friday. Both hunting from the ground. Gets worse as the season gets later but don't quit just because there are more hunters in the woods. You are hunting yanahli right? You got lots of acres to choose from.
