Kentucky report
Opening morning I was covered up with deer, best one was a heavy, high rack 9 point. If he had been a even 10 I would have ended buck season right then and there. Afternoon hunt several bucks were seen but nothing that got my attention yet was interesting also.
Sunday morning things were still going well. Passed on a small 10 then a medium 8 and several dink bucks. Afternoon was OK Had a BB chase everything that came into the field. Just before end of shooting time I looked to my right and there was a big doe standing in a mowed strip with Mr Big behind her. I could have had a shot of about 80 yards head on but elected to pass. Stupid BB make a run at the doe and all heck broke loose and off thru the field and into the thicket they all three go ending the day. Monday morning another pass on some small bucks but afternoon hunt here thru the weeds she came with Mr Big again in tow. She got ahead of him a bit and went to the corn in a mowed path, he ran after her and stopped directly behind the only cedar tree in the field. I could have tried to make a shot thru the branches at 30 yards but again just held off waiting for him to go one way or another a few feet. Here comes a basket rack 8 and bust up the six or so deer in the field and off they went with Mr Big in hot pursuit. Next time I seen him was for just a second at 100+ yards after a doe never to return. I didn't make it out this morning due to doctor appointment but this afternoon was a bust, only seen three deer from 2 pm until dark.
I will stay after them and maybe Mr Big will make another mistake. If I get lucky he will be one of my best ever.
