Beautiful Morning - Piebald Pass

In the blind at 0530, 8 pt. piebald stepped out right at 0700. He usually is with my 2 target bucks so I gave him a pass. Stood broadside at 40 yds, daring me to shoot him. That is one beautiful deer. He was alone unfortunately and just sat and watched does for another couple hours.

What an absolutely beautiful morning to be in the woods. Very blessed.

The Indian culture (feather, not dot) says it's bad luck to kill piebald's. Not gonna chance it this year.

I was kicking myself later that morning. He was the only buck I saw.

- Daytime recovery
- BEAUTIFUL day
- Back in the house by 0800 for more coffee
- Temps in the 30's overnight so I could hang him

on and on and on.....

I've decided, he used his ONE pass. Next time....dirt nap.

I don't think I could throw a stick through one. Something about it. Never had the opportunity to find out though.
