Well, I gave my can of Blackhorn 209 away due to the dangerous misfires I was getting at the range. With that said, I have a nice loose powder flask and measure and am thinking about shooting loose 777. I bought some Triple 7 FFFG and CVA warns against using it. Hodgdon says its okay, but when I called them they told me to go with what the rifle manufacturer says. The FFFG is sitting in the garage and I am thinking about buying some FFG.
Question: With the 777 Magnum pellets on the market with 2,000 fps potential, what would be my benefits of shooting 777 FFG loose?
If you're shooting 777 FFG loose, what size load are you using and how far out can you drop a deer?
Thanks
