Food Plots Bears destroying food plot

Bears are starting to destroy my food plot. Does anyone know anyway to keep them out....any help is appreciated

I dont know much about bears but corn is something I know they like so maybe no corn next year.

I know they are omnivores so I am not sure there is anything they wont eat.

Not sure. The only way to totally eliminate a bear problem is for the bear to be "gone"

Farmers around here are just having to stop growing corn. People are starting to SSS the problem more and more, that's really the only solution.

You know the only way to keep the dang vermins from destroying everything you have, im so sick of these green teucks pulling barrel cages behind them around here turning em out

Five years ago you never seen a bear in my part of hawkins county. Last couple years the population has boomed. I've lost multiple cameras and now a summers worth of work on my food plot.The Deer and turkey population is hurting and now they have to compete with the bears. No predators to help keep them in check and can only hunt them with a bow.....frustrating!

The bear population here in Greene County has literally exploded over the past 20 years. I, and many other folks, usually lose a trail cam or two to bear damage every year, and so far we have been unsuccessful in stopping it. What is it about a camera that they find so dad blame attractive anyway?

Yup only one way. So I wonder, can all you guys get together and file suit lost cameras and such. Crop damage and 'security cameras' enough cash changed hands someone will pay attention

Maybe just should bush hog it and plant it in oats or brassica.

That would be enough to push me over the edge. I know what I'd do. For the plot, yeah you could probably throw some radishes, rape and a bag of oats wouldn't hurt. May want to sow the seed, then bushhog so the seed is down below and has a better chance at soil contact. Looks like you'll have some weeds to deal with. Keep us updated! Good luck
