Was just watering the corn I planted yesterday. Something was running through the bushes and one of them came right out into the corn patch, almost ran into me, and ran off with the other...two huge cottontails. Already deer and coon heaven back there, I'll have to be on lookout and keep a 22 handy if any small critters get to the corn or pumpkins. If deer become a problem, I don't know what I'll do, maybe cayenne pepper on the leaves. Lol

I would recommend fencing, but you have so many little patches it would cost a small fortune. Good luck with them.
do they eat corn stalks or cucurbits?

They cut on my green beans last week but the dog put the fear of God in them when they came back and brought their friends along. I haven't had any damage from them otherwise. Rabbits have never really struck me as the picky type so I'm sure they'd at least take a nip or two of anything they weren't supposed to .
