1 1/2 Cup distilled white vinegar
1 tsp of your favorite hot sauce
2 Tbs Brown Sugar
1 TBS Salt
2 Tsp Crushed red pepper
2 Tsp black pepper
Simple yet has a great taste
I use Panola Cajun Hot Sauce. I love the taste of it in anything, I put it in different sauces, marinades, you name it.
This is the cut back version of the recipe, I mixed up 5 gallon today for a bbq this coming weekend.

Why not just buy KC Masterpiece????
If you like sweet sauce this looks good but I would change one thing, I would take the 1.5tsp of liquid smoke walk to the sink and pour it down the drain. Try finding some smoked paprika, add 1/2 tbs or a tbs depending on "smokiness" desired and you'll get a lot better flavor. This is just my opinion on liquid smoke, I don't know what it is but I eat a bottle of TUM's every time I taste it.diamond hunter said:I took this off a Texas Hunting forum.
1 cup ketchup
3/4 cup apple cidar vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup dark karo syrup
1.5tsp Liquid smoke
1/2tsp salt,pepper,paprika
1/4 tsp of garlic powder, onion powder and mustard powder.
boil and then simmer for 30 minutes.Add cayenne to spice it up .I used a few shakes, made it yesterday and its great today.

Heck mix it up and taste it,I also said you could tweak it with heat or sweet there einstein.Zesty Itialian is basically vinegar, olive oil and spices, main ingredients of most sauces listed here and people dont realize it.These are Ingredients that are in your Fridge when you are grillin at the house. You dont grill at the store.TAFKAP said:ClubHead said:He was askin for a Basic,Easy recipe.TAFKAP said:ClubHead said:Easiest recipe ever.50 percent ketchup 50 percent Zesty Italian dressing.Taste like Kraft. You can add brown sugar for more sweet or pepper for more heat or both.Very easy.

Yeah, but that's not BBQ sauce, nor is it a recipe.....it's making Ketchup and Zesty Italian taste worse by mixing them together. Hell, if you're already in the same aisle, why not just buy the bottled sauce then? The post was about easy, but also about a recipe......
Cool, these guys on here will tell Geno his Philly Cheese Steak Sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!diamond hunter said:I ate the sauce I made tonight on a bunch of butt I cooked on my big green egg,and yes,it WAS barbeque sauce and it was good.I couldn't taste the liquid smoke.
