Is there anywhere in West TN you can get "Good" brisket? I only know of one place that serves it here in Dyersburg and the 2 times I have tried there's just taste like roast beef to me with about the same look and texture.

I have tried it one other time in TX but the place was just an average TX BBQ place and I was not impressed with it there either. When I have seen it on tv and in books it sure dose look good but so far I would pass it up for any other item on the menu.

I know it's a chain, but I do like Jim-n-Nicks brisket. I've tried several others, but nobody does it as good as them.

Poser, I had a buddy when the exotic category at MIM. It was chorizo stuffed lobster tails.

i have found good brisket all over the east. Jim and Nicks is good, as well as Martins in Nolenseville. Sticky fingers in Chattanooga was excellent as well. Harpers Fire Pit probably the best

I eat at Fat Larry's just about everyday for lunch since its right down the street. Matter of fact, he's a personal friend. He tells everyone his brisket is as close as you'll get around here without going to Texas. The other BBQ is good, but brisket is what he prides himself on. His big draw at lunch is the meat and 2, though. My wife never liked any brisket she has ever had around here, but really likes his.

Well a internet search brings up Fat Larry's in Bartlett, TN as good brisket in TN.

Has anybody tried Fat Larry's? Many urban spoon reviews are not all that positive on other aspects of the restaurant but all the reviews of the brisket say it is really good.

I have tried it, but didn't have the brisket. It was alright, but I haven't been back. I'll have to go back and try the Brisket.

This is my favorite brisket recipe:
Millionaire Brisket with Coffee and Beer Mop Sauce

Its turned out great both times I made it. Neighbors that I had never met showed up that afternoon the first time I made it. :)
