We on TNdeer want to argue about a 1 buck, 2 buck or 3 buck limit and talk about what does and doesnt make "biological sense"....well this baiting bill makes no biological sense....ridiculous.
Nope !!! Why would they? They can't come on yout property without a warrant so how are they going to police it ?I wonder if the people who have been baiting all along will rush out and buy the permit. For some reason I doubt they will.
I feel like this whole baiting permit thing is going to be a huge failure. Most people here already baited and they are all saying they aren't buying a permit to do what they already do.
We can only hope.I feel like this whole baiting permit thing is going to be a huge failure.
It says a lot about the intelligence of the people we have in charge.I feel like this whole baiting permit thing is going to be a huge failure.
That's the problem. How are they going to get caught? Officers can no longer come onto private property without a warrant. Not that I think they should but that's the law. If the people that have always been baiting illegally, they are still going to do it. They'd be stupid to buy a permit.I wonder what the fine will be if caught hunting over bait without a permit. If it's not a hefty fine no baiters will get the permit.
I'll have to ask some of the clubs I work with how they're going to handle it.I'm also curious if you guys that are in clubs or leases allowing it, or making any special rules and regulations for your members that do buy the permit and try to bait ?
Either all agree to buy permitI'm also curious if you guys that are in clubs or leases are allowing it, or making any special rules and regulations for your members that do buy the permit and try to bait ?
FollowingI hunt private land but I am not the only hunter on the property, so if they pu4chàse a permit it will force me to also get one I think.

Yeah thats not happening in the heat of the summer either, and also is spread out usually over several acres. Id also like to know how many actually do this as growing an acre of corn cost around 6 to 800 dollars an acre depending on fertilizer and pesticides practices. But we can grow corn, bushog as we please.

Absolutely 100% Agree. We argued to no end about baiting and it still went through. And now TWRA wants to post warnings? Makes a preacher want to cuss. The management and biologists at TWRA should have been screaming these warnings from the rooftops BEFORE the bill ever caught traction in the first place.
It will start an argument within clubs....ask me how I know . Might not on a small members club but when you have quite a few members most anything can be a problem . Best way to handle new things coming up is to have a club meeting before season and bring all things to a vote and put the new rules in the bylaws firsthand .I'll have to ask some of the clubs I work with how they're going to handle it.
Should been field dressed!Real funny story .................The man checked in the deer at the processor..the guy processing the deer found a gut full of corn..just so happens a game warden standing at processors place checking....who checked it in and from what area,,, there are no corn fields in that area...lets see the paper work I want to talk to that person. Well.......!!!!!
To be fair, I don't really think TWRA (or any of us on TNDeer for that matter) actually thought the state legislature would actually pass the baiting bill.We argued to no end about baiting and it still went through. And now TWRA wants to post warnings? Makes a preacher want to cuss. The management and biologists at TWRA should have been screaming these warnings from the rooftops BEFORE the bill ever caught traction in the first place.
