We had nicknamed this deer the basketball buck because his rack almost touched and looked like a basketball goal. We also decided if we saw him we'd shoot him. My son slept in Saturday morning and I passed an 8-pt (10 if counting 2 stickers) that I'd have let him shoot. We went out Saturday afternoon and I was gonna let him bust a doe a little after 4:00 and my buddy (XXL on here) said why so early so my son decided to wait. Literally 2 minutes later he walked out and instantly knew it was him. My son got on him and let the encore eat. Deer ran maybe 50 yards and piled up beside the road. Looked much bigger in the trail cam pics but my son was tickled so that's all that mattered. He would've been a 10-pt but had a broken browtine so made him a 9. The live pic was right before my son squeezed the trigger.

Congrats! I've killed a couple that the ends of the main beams were almost touching or crossed over each other. I don't how in the world they were able to do any rubbing on trees unless they just pushed around on the outside of their antlers.
