got a lil bit done on hunter drew's 7mm mag long range rem700

a few surprises the vortex scope was pretty clear but wat impressed me was the turrets
you can lift them up (spring loaded) and reset them so you can dial elevation or windage
the click were not as firm as my zeiss and i have not tested the tracking

factory ammo sucks

factory ammo sucks

winchester 150 gn silver box el cheapo

granted i was breaking the bbl in but drew noticed some of the bullets you can turn with the hand

once sighted in i set up the chrony

trigger sucks probably gonna put one in it for drew but i managed a hell of a group
great numbers .. see pic

then it went bad speed spiked over 3250 ish and got a stiff stiff bolt

i was like dang went to the other box of ammo the brass looked way different

2900 fps to 2950 300 ft per second difference no stickey bolt though

gun has a lot of potential a lot of mag space for seating the bullets out

new trigger 160 accubonds smoking them Kansas deer are in trouble

Results look pretty good. Once you get new trigger you gonna stretch it to 200 and see how the groups hold up?

My California hunting buddy had a BDL 7 mag with partitions that was crazy accurate. I don't recall the bullet weight or powder charge but it was so accurate I thought he was sending his second and third shots over the fence. Had to shoot it myself. I do remember he kept the barrel clean. I was with him when he rolled a cow elk at about 200 yards. A 160 Accubond is gonna fold em up.

I am working up speed

With a book load .010 off. In getting 3060. Ish

An example of my saum with shorter barrel can do it with 7 grains less same powder 24" vs 26"

I am going to try a few more powders just to see then shoot groups

As long as it shoots less than .7. I'm good

However with the trigger. .5. Should be easy

The little blue meanies will hit 3,500+ easy peasy in a 7 mag with a bunch of 22 (72 gr)

i know in my 7 saum i pushed the 120 nbt to 3595 with h414 and the 110 ttsx to 3675 with h414

i feel confident with this rifle and 26" tube 3600 is possible
but for this kansas buck hunt if the 160 accubond group that is what i am loading for drew
