barrel break in

You will get alot of answers on this. Just shoot and clean often is my way, if nothing else it will get you use to the gun.

Everyone has a different way, 1 shot clean/ 3 shots clean / 5 shots clean, some don't even clean till after thier range session. Some people like to fire lap the barrel. I would only say, Don't over heat the barrel. I normally shoot 3 shot groups and clean, letting the barrel cool down between groups. How many rounds to break the barrel in is also contingent on the barrel quality. And then I shoot 5 shot groups to test accuracy level.

This is probably one of the most argued subjects on the net other than caliber. I don't do the ritualistic clean between every so many shots.
Clean before shooting it.
Run 10-30rds through it then clean again.
Don't clean again till accuracy falls off. In my factory Remington barrels this has ranged from 75-200 shots.
