Barley or rye?

Do deer prefer barley over rye or vice versa?

I've no experience with barley, but if you're referring to ryeGRAIN (vs. ryeGRASS) they'll absolutely keep it clipped to the ground.

I tested a few years ago, Barley hands down.

Rye grain is a winner,no experience with Barley.

Rye has worked wonders for me. It is an excellent green manure the following spring as well.
