Barkly Lake today

We had a bass tourny out of bumpus mills today with 20 boats.Was a tough day had 2 fish weighed in out of all them boats.Firts place one fish was 4 lb small mouth that was big fish also.Second place was 1 lb lol.So lets say they had a pretyy good pay day for the day.We caught 3 fish all where short tho.Was tough day with all the rain we had and muddying up the water.

Dang You should have a lifeline and phoned a friend. I might could have helped you out. That fast boat could have got you down here. On the other hand the shad are so schooled up a bass can stay pretty full lol

muddy water can be tough. i know nothing about that lake but here at home i love to fish right after big rain cause i get to hit all the springs and run-ins. that clear water mixing in with the mud makes for good days here.

we caught several saturday fishing these type places. 1 that went 6.5 lbs and couple more around 4 lbs. water temps in the low 50's avg. but when you get close to springs it jumps to mid 50's.

Oh well, at least you got to get out and try.
Ive had more than my share of days like that myself when the water's muddy.

Yea 8up i was scared to run the main lake for all the debris that was floating all down it.Will have alot more this year will keep u posted.
