So I'm going on a veteran fellowship hunt there in two weeks. Anything I need to know about the place?

They clear cut alot of my favorite spots. There's alot of deer there but they see alot of pressure. Hunt the thick areas and wear rubber boots. It gets pretty wet this time of year.

I appreciate that. I assume I should still bring a climbing stand though right?

Depending on what part of the wma you hunt you may not be able to find a big enough tree to climb. I would definitely bring some sort of chair to keep from sitting on that swampy ground and a deer cart. I used to hunt by the red Barn and it was over a mile walk from the parking area.

So the hunt was supposed to be today but the sponsor had family scheduling issues that sprung up so it was cancelled. I took the boys to The City Forum here in Clarksville instead. A pizza and wings at Old Chicago was a fun afternoon.
