What calibers have you had the most bang flops with on whitetail
Every caliber i use, because its high shoulder shots for me, any thing else is unacceptable!
That little fella i killed other day, 130 grain scirroco out of the 270 at 170 yards, never twitched just crumpledHigh shoulder shots for me. Have used .243, .270, 7mm08, 30-30, and .308. Out of those calibers for some reason I have a hard time dropping them with the .308. I've never lost a deer with a .308 and all have fell in sight but hasn't dropped them in their tracks. I shot my buck with my .270 this year and he never moved a muscle after I shot.
Browning bar 300 win mag , bullet Remington extended range 190 gr. Boat tail, not sure how long they made that round. What calibers have you had the most bang flops with on whitetail
X2 . It's all about placement .Bang flops are about bullet placement
Just Above center shoulder
You will get it about 95% of the time even w a 243
X2 .243 has the most for me.243 100g federal spbt, I have had more with a magnum charge and a 295g powerbelt with muzzle loader to the ribs
I agree 100%. That's my point of aim when avialable. I'd rather not have to track if possible. High shoulder and they don't take a step.Bang flops are about bullet placement
