Bang flops

243 100g federal spbt, I have had more with a magnum charge and a 295g powerbelt with muzzle loader to the ribs

I've only hunted with a 7mm-08 for the past 30 years. Not sure of the total number, but it has been quite a few. I aim for the lungs and want pass-throughs for the blood trail, but sometimes they just drop.

The ones I'm thinking of drop, legs curl up under them, and they're done. No high shoulder, no spine, but for some reason...down.

Every caliber i use, because its high shoulder shots for me, any thing else is unacceptable!

Same

Unless I bust the cns I've never had a deer drop. I've used .243, 260, 708, 7x30, 3030, 3006, 35 rem, 358 win, 375 win, 45/70 and probably a few more I'm forgetting.

Cns hits fold, not cns shots I get a 25-100yd run.

Where you hit them matters more than what you hit them with.

High shoulder shots for me. Have used .243, .270, 7mm08, 30-30, and .308. Out of those calibers for some reason I have a hard time dropping them with the .308. I've never lost a deer with a .308 and all have fell in sight but hasn't dropped them in their tracks. I shot my buck with my .270 this year and he never moved a muscle after I shot.

That little fella i killed other day, 130 grain scirroco out of the 270 at 170 yards, never twitched just crumpled😉

I've killed with a bunch of different calibers from ,243 to 7mag. Most would probably be with a 30/06 but only because I've killed more deer with it. I agree with shot placement being the biggest factor but 2 for 2 bang flops on 243 kills.

Bang flops are about bullet placement
Just Above center shoulder
You will get it about 95% of the time even w a 243
I agree 100%. That's my point of aim when avialable. I'd rather not have to track if possible. High shoulder and they don't take a step.
