I don't understand the fascination of singing a song written about Tennessee.

The kids were really excited to get it back. From what I understand they plan on sticking with the "approved" lyrics until the Iron Bowl, then it's back to the original.
Here's what they say with both the original and "new and approved" chants:
Spend my dollar (ON BEER) (no change),
Parked in a holler 'neath the mountain moonlight (ROLL TIDE)(no change),
Hold her uptight (AGAINST THE WALL)(ROLL TIDE),
Make a little lovin' (ALL NIGHT)(No change),
A little turtle dovin' on a Mason Dixon night (F*** AUBURN)(BEAT AUBURN),
Fits my life (AND LSU)(No Change),
oh so right (AND TENNESSEE, TOO)(No Change),
My Dixieland Delight.

So except for the two lines, not much of of change. The big problem, according to my son, was that when the crowd was really fired up (ie really drunk), every response was "F--- Auburn!," and it got caught one too many times on TV.

Yeah I think I saw on SECN where Saban said he would allow it one last time to be played there. Guess that's why.
